Why Language & Literacy Corner?
Ms. Kayla is a speech-language pathologist specializing in literacy.
Unlike traditional tutors, Ms. Kayla can identify underlying language issues, such as phonological processing, vocabulary and narrative language comprehension that can impact reading development.
Ms. Kayla determines the root cause of your child's reading difficulties through an evaluation that identifies specific areas of need.
She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach which is founded in the science of reading and utilizes multi-sensory experiences to develop strong reading networks in the brain.
Her approach and experience makes her program great for readers with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia.
